Any helpful ideas to have health insurance cover costs?

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS, and my Doctor placed me on birth
control as a treatment. He feels that I should be on birth control for
a few months to help with my ovulation, before my husband and I try to
concieve. My problem is that my insurance will not cover any of the costs
of the birth control. They say that I am using it as a prevention,
which I am not doing at all. We want to have a baby.
Does anyone, know what I could do to try to get this point across to my
insuance company. I would appreciate any ideas.
