Hi Bernadette:

As far as I know there is no link between the two disorders. But since each are so common, it is also quite common to have both.

As far as an interaction between the two I don't think there is one, simply because thyroid pills just replace the natural thyroid hormone that you are missing.

I am on Met and synthroid and have never noticed a problem.
