I met my guy on the internet. I told him about my hair loss (I don't have facial hair) probably two or three weeks after we started talking. I knew at that point that I wanted to meet him in person eventually, so I thought I'd better get it over with and see what kind of character he had. It was not an easy thing to do. I remember feeling sick to my stomach and crying as I wrote about my problem in an e-mail to him. He had questions about why a 20-something girl was balding, but he never ever wanted to end the relationship. We are soon to be married now. In fact, I think he'd say my complaining about my hair is what's hard to live with at times, not the lack of my hair! One tip, it's not as embarrasing to explain your problem if you discuss it in terms of insulin resistance and ovarian cysts, rather than too many male hormones.
