About the original "insensitive" post

Michelle..

I made the original comment about you getting in to a smaller size...and please (even though I know you have already) you shouldn't have taken it the way you did. I think it's absolutely fabulous that you're in a size ten and I'm also jealous that I'm not you!! But, from my point of view (and maybe a few of the other larger women) to comment the way I did (with my sense of humor) is simply a way for me to sometimes deal with my weight problem. Please let me tell you that I have NEVER been a size ten. You are lucky you caught on to your problem before it got out of hand! As a matter of fact, I cannot remember ever being smaller that a 14. And, if you can understand where I am coming from....recently going from a size 22 to a size 18 has made me see so much clearer....but...it takes ALOT of work. So, hopefully, you can imagine what I think of when I think of a size ten....something I can only wish I was..but doubt that I ever will be!

Also, being that this is a PCOS forum...it IS also a "hairy fat ladies" forum as well. Not only this, but it is also a forum which allows EVERYONE to share their stories..fat, skinny, short, tall...whatever. A comment about your size which was not meant to be negative DOES NOT mean that I think anyone is less sick than anyone else. We share OUR stories with one another. We MUST realize that some are sicker than us and some not as sick. I do agree that we must all be sensitive...but also think that we need to work on this together and not bicker about the small things.

I am sorry if I offended you....but I'm not sorry that I posted what I did. That is me...that is my sense of humor. I see a size 10 as quite an accomplishment and would not insult ANYONE for that accomplishment...I have no right to. Although unhappy with the way I look..I can deal with it. Yes, I'm trying to change it...but in the mean time, I'll continue to be me. Alexis
