Re: A New Person...TishaFrom: donna (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 26 Jul 2000 22:31:23 -0500 (CDT)
For diagnosis you need to see an ob/gyn, endocrinologist, or a reproductive endocrinologist. Most importantly a doctor who is knoweledgable in pcos. My daughter was diagnosed by her medical history, she's classic case, however that dr was not really up on the latest treatments. The next dr we saw, a self labled specialist, knew less than I did it seemed and was definitly openly averse to those with a weight problem. She has a new appointment with a specialist we found here on this forum through a recommendation. It's also important to find out as much as possible about pcos for yourself. You can do that by searching the archives here and checking out other websites.
