personally, i would print as much information that highlighted my symptoms out and take it to the doc. also take info about what tests should be done and the recommended medications. take extra research about the long term effects of the illness so that your doctor can understand if he is clueless about the illness. ALSO, i would take information regarding the possible genetic component so that you can possibly avoid the "just lose weight" response. in addition to this when you go to the doc with this info, you need to demand to be heard if you do not get an entuhistic response. you should ask to be referred to someone who will treat you effectively if the first doc will not. i hope this helps. love,paula
