Hi Lori- Since I have never low-carbed, I can't tell you what effects it has, but as yo uknow a lot of women on this board swear by it. As far as the ADA diet, I think it is a great idea. Sine PCOS obviously often involves wacky blood sugar, it makes sense that keeping your blood sugar stable and under control (a la the ADA diet) would be beneficial...keep us posted on what you decide to do!

Love- Christina

P.S. I think it is encouraging that your doctor even ACKNOWLEDGES a food/health connection...when I ask about diet, most of the doctors I have seen throw pills at me and I never hear from them again! :)

He set me up with a nutritionalist and reccommended me for the Diabetic diet (ADA). Since it hasn't taken me long to learn that us cysters on the board often know more than many doctors, I would like to throw it out to you. Does the ADA diet work better than low carbing? Any success stories with it?
