I'm on the road right now and can't access my files at home. But my recollection with the ADA diet is that the amount of carbohydrates each day is about 300 grams (and that's just counting the strictly carbo foods, not the carbos that are present in other foods). I've tried that diet for the better part of 4 years with little or no success in losing weight. (At least I didn't gain!)
