Re: stress eatingFrom: Kay (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 20 Jul 2000 12:42:10 -0500 (CDT)
Lynette, I read on an insulin resistance site that low-carbing can often lead to depression and anxiety due to the lack of seratonin being released in the brain. The person with this site recommends a low dose of an anti-depressant to help with that, since we aren't eating the carbs that will release the seratonin. I personally have tried St. John's Wort and SAM-e and find those to work well for me when I low carb. http://commodore.perry.pps.pgh.pa.us/~odonnell/ir1.html/
