Vena,

I've not heard of "Hair Block". I have heard of and tried Surgi-Hair Stop by the makers of SurgiCream, what a joke that stuff was. It smelled like perming solution. The pamphlet said that it could be used under make-up, even funnier; my make-up turned orange on top of this crap. They recommended applying it twice daily, everyday for 10 days and then twice a week thereafter, "until desired results are achieved". I just wasn't able to this without looking like an oompa-loompa. And putting it on only at night before bed, didn't help.

Anyhow, it was supposed to (let me go get the bottle) be "the latest and most advanced way of inhibiting the hair's re-growth process. This revolutionary breakthrough product reduces the frequency of hair removal and eventually stops hair re-growth. In addition, this dual action formula also exfoliates the skin leaving the skin beautifully soft, smooth and silky". Greasy, shiny and stinky is more like it. HOW DOES SURGI-HAIR STOP WORK? It is "an enzymatic hair retardant that is made from natural fruit enzymes that originate from the unripe papaya fruit. The enzymatic process metabolizes the proteins of the hair follicle which eventually inhibits hair growth permanently. Among the key ingredients of Surgi-Hair Stop are biologically active components of select fruit enzymes preserved in their natural states as well as natural skin moisturizing agents to aid in soothing skin". I would have probably gotten the same results (less the smell) if I had just rubbed a papaya on my face. hehe

I was soooo excited when I seen this stuff on the shelf, I just couldn't get home fast enough to give it a try.

The optimistic side of me says, well, ya know, this stuff was put out a year ago...maybe they've made some improvements...maybe, some other company found the solution...IF you decide to give Hair Block a try let us know how it works for you.

TTYL,
