As long as the dose is high enough you will see results with Aldactone, not necessarily right away, but you will see improvements. 25 or 50 mg a day is NOT a high enough dose for PCOS.

For me within a few weeks at 150mg every day I saw improvements in the oil production and at 3 months now I am seeing peach fuzz on my hairline. The acne is less severe and heals much faster too (could be the metformin also). My prolactin level was in the 80's a month before starting Aldactone now it is 9.

I pay just under $100 per 540 25mg tabs (3 months supply) I could use 50mg tablets but they actually cost more.

Shop around for the best price. Call all over town until you find the best price. I may be worth you money to join a Sam's or Cost-co style store they often have very good rx prices. (at least in my town they do!)
