Simple but effectiveFrom: Paula (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 9 Jul 2000 04:30:00 -0500 (CDT)
Over the last week or so I have been doing a lot of "analyzing" of the way I do things related to my diet, and excercise. I look at every single carb, look it up in the book, count em up and figure it out. I measure my food, count the minutes I excercise, and try to keep track of how much water I am taking in and putting out. Seems like I am losing a lot of water with low-carb. I hear from past posts that is normal. Hence one good reason to drink more water, or you will get plugged up. I read all the posts, and I am so blessed to not have to deal with the periods anymore. The stories bring back bad memories for me, and makes me hurt for those of you who deal with this EVERY second of the day. My goal is to be rid of the weight <330lbs>, no more beards, no more tummy hairs, and especially no more bald spots. I can't do that today. It will come over time, and I am assured of that by reading all the good things that also happen on this board. Anyways, my point is that I need to stop every once in awhile and smell the roses. I need to feel like a woman again. I need a bath, a lotion rub-down, your favorite book, movie, or tv show, how about a facial? Home facials are cheap and easy. I did this for myself this weekend and all the other things float away just for that minute, or ten minutes, but they are away. I then have much more strength to continue counting grams, courage to get on those damnedable scales, and the sight to see the smallest of hairs to pluck. I hope that my relatively simple, but effective way of getting back the the woman inside can help you. When I was going through infertility treatments my Grandma would say to me "Just relax and do what comes natural". Even though it has been rumored to in others, it didn't help me get pregnant, but it sure helped my husband want to keep trying when it wasn't so "natural". I am so happy for all of you with good news this weekend. It made my day. I apologize for the length, I get carried away! I am on your side ladies!! May God bless us and carry us through this hard time in our lives.
