Abnormal Periods - TO LEIGH!

Leigh -

I know that right now you can't really see the light at the end of the tunnel and you are just hoping that we're all right and that one day you'll be okay. PCOS is a strange thing, since it doesn't affect us all the same way. What I *can* say is that I (as well as many others) have been exactly where you are! Exactly! Remember a couple things... 1) menstrual blood never ever clots. Never. It's what Paula said: It's the lining of your uterus. And yay!! Since your body has a LOT to get rid of. 2) definitely take a vitamin supplement - we don't want to hear how you're anemic for gosh sakes. Watch your iron and potasium levels. But I would personally stay away from the bananas. 3) And keep low-carbing! You're doing great! We are all here for you and will encourange you any way we can. Just don't sabotage yourself and your healthy progress by going off your diet to stop the periods. It's only a short term answer to a larger problem with too many risks to even make it worth while.
