Pelvic pain with pcos

Hi, I am wondering if it is common to have pelvic pain with pcos? I have had pcos for about 10 years but just recently have had the diagnosis confirmed. I have all of the typical signs and symptoms of pcos plus I am insulin resistant.

I just started taking metformin 500 mg three times a day. (started out gradually)I am also taking provera 10 mg the 1st 14 days of the month to make sure I have a cycle.

In Oct. of 99 I had a large cyst drained from my left ovary. The pain was gone for about 2-3 months afterwards. But it has returned. I have had 3 ultrasounds the first one was ok. But now these last ones showed possible small cysts on both ovaries. My Dr. said the pain could becoming from the cyst bursting or scar tissue on the ovary from the surgery.

I am just wondering if anybody else has experienced pain with pcos? If so, I would like to know and what the treatment you have had done.

I am seeing a Repro. endo. I am not looking to get pregnant at this time, actually I am still single, but I do hope to get pregnant sometime in the future. Thanks.
