I agree with another comment made earlier--this is not just a "cosmetic" issue.

Also, regarding infertility, when I was diagnosed just recently, I had heard of PCOS but doctors had told me not to worry about it unless I was trying to get pregnant. I didn't know at the time of the serious HEALTH issues involved with it. When my doctor diagnosed me she said nothing about treatment or health risks. If it weren't for the internet, the recent article in "Health" magazine, and the "Leeza" show that aired recently, I wouldn't have known of these other health risks. PCOS can be a cause of infertility, but it's more than that too.

That's what I would want specifically Doctors to realize.
