Re: Sore Heels...

Hi ladies :)

Two things: 1) I too, have those shocking pains in the heel and bottom of my foot, especially in the morning. I thought they were due to my weight too, until I considered I have weighed the same (roughly) for 5 years and never had this before. I did some looking at a calendar and the pain started when I started taking Met. Maybe just a weird coincidence, but something to think about!

2) I went and saw my doctor, he said yes, definitely plantar fascaitta?? I can't rememebr the name... anyway he gave me some stretches and heel cups to use and the pain is mostly gone now! Still kinda sore in the mornings, but I CAN walk. Apparently we have an injured tendon there, which swells up with blood, and that makes it even more painful to walk on, ESPECIALLY if we have been resting the foot for a while (like with sleep.) When we walk on it, it sort of squishes the blood out and it feels a bit better during the day.

Anyway let me know if anyone figures out something good for the pain and irritation of this part of PCOS!
