Judy, Paula & All,

Thanks so much for all the info on the IGTT, IR and everything else. I am going back to Boston this coming Friday to have all my labs drawn. If, after that, the dreaded call comes that all levels are "within" normal range...I will take the next step and INSIST I have the IGTT...my insurance will pay so I'm not sure why the past 7 physicians have refused!!! If this RE refuses as well...then, I'm on the search again!

You're all correct...it is frustrating...sometimes so frustrating that I want to wave my hands and say "the hell with it...it's not worth it...I will be like this forever!!" Then, thankfully & with all of your support, I come to my senses and realize that I can (and have to) do something to help myself!! I often wonder why these labs are always within the "normal" ranges and have been wondering (after last weeks chat).....how do you *cheat* on a fasting insulin test???!!! I know....I guess it's just gotten to the point where I need the help & don't really care where it comes from. However, reading the advice, support & info from all of you makes such a difference for me & I thank you all so much!!!

Love, :-) Alexis
