You Girls are the BEST!!! (p.s. I called them!)

Wow! Who would have thought that one stupid remark from one stupid individual would be a catalyst for so many wonderful women saying so many wonderful things!?!

I really don't know how to express my gratitude for all of the support you have shown me. I was still feeling pretty irritated about last night's encounter when I got up this morning, but all I had to do is check the board and you guys managed to wipe it all away! I really meant it when I said I love all of you. Even my closest friends and family members, although they love and support me very much, are not able to understand like you all do.

I took your advice and called Taco Bell's corporate headquarters. I decided to bypass the individual store because I wasn't sure how effective it would be. I worked fast-food while I was in high school and I remember how "strict" (NOT) management was. So, I spoke to a very nice lady and explained the situation. I also "casually" mentioned that I had already shared my story with "several dozen of my closest friends" (well, you are!) and noted that I am involved in several orginazations with young families as well as being a college student and that with all the exposure I have with their potential customers, I would much rather be able to share a positive story about the management of Taco Bell than to "be forced" to express my concerns about this particular instance. After much stammering, apoligizing, and gushing I was assured that "action will absolutely be taken against these individuals" and I should expect "at minimum, a reimbursement for the cost of your order" in the mail within two weeks. Well, my meal was less than $4, so I'm hoping I get more than that! (he-he) So, now I'm feeling a lot better about doing something about it. In reality, that kid was such a jerk this may be a regular behavior for him and he may not even realize the impact his smart mouth had. Maybe this will get his attention - I really hope something is done about it. At least I'd like to think that maybe it will make him think before he opens his mouth in the future!

Anyway, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for all of the support, compasion, and concern you expressed to me. All of your kind words mean so much to me, I printed your messages out so I could save them for any time I feel down in the future. If there's ever a way for us all to get together and meet in person, I'll be the first one there. But, in the meantime I'll continue to check in with "my girls" each day on this board. Too bad we couldn't start a PCOS community to help take care of eachother and keep all the "Taco-Bell-Jerk type people" outside the city limits! : )

Take care everyone! Love, Ginger

P.S. Regarding the post that included info about artifical sweeteners in diet sodas. Yep, I know. It's my major vice. I know it's not good for me and I'm making progress to wean myself off of pop. I used to drink 6-10 cans (it's true!) a day. Now I allow myself 1 and only if I have it with a meal. Heck, I used to have 2 cans of diet pop for breakfast each day! But, thank you for your concern and the info. Hopefully before too long I'll be able to give it up completely. :)
