I had no menstrual cycle for two years. Saw several doctors with several different opinions but no real help. I got pregnant which was a suprise with no menstrual cycle. I had one period after my daughter and then they got lighter until none. My daughter will be 3 in September. I have a son that is 11. I have had the excessive weight gain with no results in losing any of it. I have the facial hair and I had 3 black hairs under my belly button (before I plucked them...ha ha). I went to a different doctor almost six months ago. She ran blood work and told me my hormone levels were high (she didn't tell me which ones). She said this explained the hair on my stomach. She also said the blood work showed possible cysts on my ovaries. Ordered a sonogram. No cysts showed up on the sonogram but my uterus lining was too thick. She put me on Provera for a month which cause a period. And boy was it a period. She said she wanted to see me again in 6 months for another sonogram to check the lining. She put me on Ortho-Trycyclen. The Provera worked great. The BC hasn't worked so great. I could use one panty liner all day for the flow I have. One of my sisters was having some problems with cysts on her ovaries and is seeing a specialist. She was diagnosed with POCS. I am wanting to ask my doctor if she thinks that could be my problem because the birth control hasn't remedied the problem. Very confused. Thanks for any help!
