I can only speak from my experience. I had years of no periods. I went to the gyn every year for my pap. And life went on as usual. Not until I wanted to have a baby did I start the long road to diangosis and just NOW, some kind of treatment. My advice to you: don't wait. Not to belittle the school nurse, but, I don't think she will be of help. Maybe, your mom's gyn could be of help. Be careful, alot of them put young ladies/women on the pill to regulate them. Although it takes care of the shedding of the uterine lining(giving you a period) it doesn't get the "source" of the problem which if left untreated, can cause other problems later in life. If I can be of help, email me.
