Hi! Dr. Nestler is the head of endocrinology @ MCV. He is well worth the wait! If you want to get things rolling at the first visit [& not have to wait even longer] Send him an email @ nestler@hsc.vcu.edu, tell him what you are currently taking - that you have an appt with him, would like to get bloodwork done before you meet him & what should you do. A friend & I were both taken off of spiro & bcp for 3 months before we had lots of bloodwork done & gtt. Whereas, she met with Dr. Nestler first & then had to wait 3 months before going on Met, I went in & we discussed test results, meds etc on the first visit. Having had a horrible endo in Richmond, I can tell you that it is well worth the wait to find a pcos friendly doctor. By the way, Dr. Nestler is the medical advisor for the Richmond/Central Virginia support group.
