1) You should know your cholesterol level to help you have an idea about how to deal with your health.

2) Having your cholesterol level before treatment of any sort will help give an indication of how the treatment is helping. (baseline)

3) With PCOS, there is a much increased risk of high cholesterol and triglycerides. Remarkably enough a low carb diet often lowers this problem.
