I do not know what your previous dr based the diagnosis on but it seems that you have at least two of the three diagnosing areas covered:1) physical symptoms and 2)cysts. You may also have the lab work to confirm a diagnosis also. Yes, the birth control pill will alter the hormone values in your blood. It seems that you may have an insulin problem also (presumably the cause of PCOS)

Hypothalmic amenorrehea is usually described as the absence of periods in women who have eating disorders. I do not see the evidence of this here in your post.

If you are having trouble walking because of the pain and the dr does not take it seriously, well ... (ahem)
