Dear Michele, I'm a bit confused regarding diet too. I'm just kind-of winging it with respect to low carbing but I have heard that eating too few carbohydrates does cause the liver to produce glucose. I had a natural doctor (kind of like a chiropractor) when I lived in the States who is really fantastic (in the Pittsburgh area) and he told me to really cut out all sugar and take natural progesterone. My symptoms improved a lot(namely acne and hair loss). Unfortunately I didn't follow the no sugar diet and now my symptoms are back. I also believe the natural progesterone works but it's a bit hard to regulate how much to take. I was using about 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon in the last two weeks of my cycle and last August when I went home to Pgh, this doctor told me I had had enough and to stop for awhile. Well, lo and behold my acne is back in full force! My problem is that I live overseas now and am not able to see him regularly. If anyone has any advice on regulating the amount of natural progesterone, I'd love to hear it! Regarding sugarbusters, I've ordered the book so I can't say that I know that much about it but I will say that my symptoms got a lot better when I didn't eat any sugar. I also would like to know the real story on whether we should eat small infrequent meals or only 3 meals a day. On this point, I really am confused. It seems like insulin would be released everytime you eat and therefore 3 meals sounds better but I just don't know. By the way, this is such a great site. Thanks for all the info it's really a huge help to me.... Cara
