I weighed 120-125 lbs throughout teenager-hood and had no symptoms of PCOS except irregular periods. Went on pill at 17 to combat this. When I went off the pill to try to conceive in 10/96, I ballooned to 190 pounds in less than 8 months with no diet or exercise change. It was devasting - most doctors told me to quit eating so much. Now after 7 months of Metformin, I'm down 40 pounds with regular menses. What a miracle! k emory athens, GA
