While there may not be different kinds of PCOS, there does seem to be a natural "progression" of symptoms. I wasn't nearly as bad as a teen as I am now at age 36. I sure wish things would've been caught then. Some are just blessed to have found help when their levels aren't "that bad", while others don't find help until things have progressed. My opinion...
