My daughter,17, has been on bcp's since march. Her first period was at age 16, with none after until the gyn put her on 10 days of provera to bring on a period and then she had a serious bloodloss with resulting transfusions. She does not like the bcp's and wants to stop taking them.We do have an appointment with a doctor in richmond va. in november ( we live in upstate ny ). Her gyn. is somewhat knowledgable about pcos, but not entirely and she is leaving the practice of medicine this month (we don't know why and don't want to know). So since all of you have had so much more experience with this how do you feel?
