Hi Jolene-

Thanks for your (and everyone elses!) response. I'm not necessarily on a "plan", kinda the "Ginger Denney Hectic Life Try to Eat Low-Carb While Eating with the Children Program" : )

I tried Atkins and it didn't work out too well for me. I am somewhat following CAD and SugarBusters, but with my own spin. I mentioned yesterday that I mostly try to eat as close to natural as possible. I know, I know... fast food is not found in nature, but I promised the kids we'd go there for lunch today and I don't think I have the willpower to eat a salad at home and then sit there smelling their food without wanting some too. I understand what you mean about not feeling guilty - before now I would've gone in with the intentions of having a salad and then gotten what I really wanted instead, then beaten myself up over it for days. So, even though I'm not eating 100% low-carb today, I still feel "in control". What a strange, NEW feeling to not be afraid of food!!!!!! It's great! : )

Thanks again! Ginger
