Re: ??????????WINK againFrom: Jolene (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 08 Jun 2000 09:17:16 -0400
Hang in there! With PCOS, it is so easy to get discouraged, but we need to hang in there and learn to give our bodies what they need to function their best. Low-carbing really isn't an option for me. I want to get my IR under control, and low-carbing is as vital a component as the exercise and met. Weight loss is a benefit to low-carbing, but that is not the main reason I do it. I do it because it is the best way of eating for my body, given my biochemistry. Note that this is a lifelong way of eating, not a "diet" (which implies a temporary way of eating). Don't give up on low-carbing. They range from strict to not very strict. Even the strict ones like Atkins don't stay strict forever! Keep researching and exploring options. Jolene, in Toledo PS - It's easier if you have a couple of low-carb cookbooks. We have Fran somebody's _Low-Carb Cookbook_ and _Lauri's Low-Carb Cookbook_. There are also good low- carb recipes on the Internet.
>>> WINK887754@aol.com 6/7/00 11:43:20 PM >>> Thanks for everyones response, and yes it does help me. Too bad it does not make me feel better. Not that I dont appreciate the truth but, the truth hurts. I kind of feel like, why bother. How can I possibly stick to a diet for life??? I am not in love with food or nothing but I just can not see myself sticking to eating low carbs for the rest of my life. UUUGGGGHHHHH!!!!!! Also I now realize that you spell it weightloss not weight lose. My brain quit working while I was asking my initial question. Just wanted everyone to know that I do know how to spell!!!!!
