Re: A Hypothetical Question ;)From: Jolene (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 08 Jun 2000 08:40:29 -0400
How about a bacon doublecheese burger, no bun, and a salad with non-sugary dressing? My partner and I do this often. Given your options, I'd probably go for the fries rather than the bun because the bun is made with refined flour whereas the fries were a potato once. (No, I'm not basing this on carb counts.) If you have to have potato, how about a baked potato? Jolene, in Toledo PS - What low-carb plan are you on? If early Atkins, you should avoid these types of carbs for a while. If later Atkins or some of the more lenient plans, these things can be budgeted in and you don't need to feel guilty.
>>> gadenne@ilstu.edu 6/7/00 10:36:48 PM >>> Ok, get out your low-carb counter books. Say I was going to a fast-food restraunt with my children, who love getting a certain meal that includes a toy that makes them "Happy". (of course, otherwise I wouldn't THINK of going there!) Speaking carbohydrate-wise, which would be the better choice A. A cheeseburger without the bun & small frie B. A cheeseburger with the bun and no fries Mind you, this is CLEARLY hypothetical, but I thought I might ask in case the situation ever comes up in the future, like tomorrow for instance. : ) I look forward to your input! Thanks! Ginger
