-- from my natural family planning class(taken about 18 years ago) this is what i remember: no fertile mucus,no ovulation and thefertile mucus is there because it provides the proper environment for the sperm, so start having sex then .the mucus usually lasts about 2-3 days and even if you haven't ovulated at the 1st appearance the sperm are able to live for the next couple of days in the mucus and are waiting when the egg appears. It worked for me even though i had very irregular periods.
