Re: Possible bursting cyst???From: Kathy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 7 Jun 2000 17:17:36 -0500 (CDT)
I had a cyst burst a few years ago. I woke up in the morning with very sharp pain in my lower right abdomen, and was afraid it was appendicitis. So, went to ER, and had to WAIT to see a dr. I was there for 2 hours, and the pain kept diminishing so by the time the dr. finally arrived, it was nothing. He was afraid that it was a tubal pregnancy, so took some bloodwork. When it was negative, he began asking questions. When I told him that I had been diagnosed with cysts on my ovaries, he went "Oh, that's what the problem." He sent me to see my GYN for a new ultrasound, and he agreed that that was probably what it was. I don't remember any spotting - just intense sharp pains. Hope this helps!
