My RE told me that she had some patients who, with weight loss, reduced their symptoms (hirsutism, acanthosis), but she did not give any indication that the disease can be cured. Given that researchers think it is genetic, I'm not sure a cure is possible (short of gene therapy). A cure would be nice, but I'd be overjoyed if my symptoms were controlled! I'd be interested in hearing opinions of people more informed than I am! Jolene, in Toledo
