I have been waiting for a long time for someone to mention this series. The Firm tapes are the best that I have ever seen. They are very sound physiologically. You do not have uncontrolled, jerky movements. You will sweat but your body will change. If you are low carbing or on metformin, you will be amazed at how your body responds. You used to be able to rent these at Blockbuster Video, I do not know if you still can. I would recommend any of the first three total body workouts. I have not used the "parts" videos. The one Barbara mentioned with Janet Jones Gretzky is super (yes, she is Wayne's wife - when you see her, you should ignore the fact that she has children!) I have linked a picture of the video tape here. I always like to rent the workout tape first to see if it is something I can live with before I buy, but you could buy this tape at sports stores if you do like it. (I am not recommending this site nor am I critizing it. I do not know if this is a good deal since I purchased mine a long time ago. I am just showing the picture so this tape can be recognized.) http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/6301065557/qid–0341700/sr=1-23/002-6337063-7126437

The other two in this series that I highly recommend have Susan Harris (#1) and Sandahl Bergman (#3).

The last place we gain weight is *supposed* to be the first place we lose weight. There is no way to "spot reduce" that I am aware of. We can tone our muscle so that the tissue over it looks better.
