Hello Ladies, Good news! I went to my endocrinologist appt today, armed with my big file of articles on PCOS, thinking that I would have to put up this big fight to get treated with Metformin, only to have him completely agree with my diagnosis of PCOS and write up a prescription for met 500 mg 2 x per day. I am supposed to get another round of labs done tomorrow (fasting glucose, lipids, comprehensive metabolic panel, and testosterone) and pending the results of that, I will start taking met on Wednesday. I am due to see him for a follow up in two months. I really feel like I am on my way now, and feel much more motivated to eat better, get my butt back to the gym and ride my bike again. Yay!!! Thansk to all of you for your good thoughts and prayers. This forum has been a great comfort to me, and I feel like you ladies are the only ones who really understand this thing.
