Hi Again!
I started low-carbing at the end of March....also started getting pretty involved in this board and I have been lucky enough to find much of the support I've needed right here! I guess I started because I was sick & tired of feeling sick & tired...as well as fed up with how I looked. I was diagnosed with PCOS about 8 years ago...doc siad that bcp would "fix" the problem. Little did I know that that was false and I was truly too young & naive to think that I could have something like this. I regret it so much that I didn't dig deeper into it when I was told I had PCOS. Along with the low-carbing I am taking the following: (daily)
400mcg Chromium blend
1000mg L-Carnitine
200mg Coenzyme Q10
1000mg Inositol
Do you think that's too much? Anyway similar to what you are taking? I'm still feeling much, much, much better. I guess it's just frustrating when you lose and lose and then BOOM....nothing! I hope the whoosh fairy comes tonight...I deserve it. Just played 9 holes of golf...hot out there! Didn't take a cart either, so that's about 3 miles!
Take Care!!!
:-) Alexis

But ultimately I start losing again. (Another lb this morning) I put it down the the extra exercise Im doing! Not just the work outs in they gym but also Ive so much more energy that I do a lot more - walk when I might have taken the car, but also do things when might have sat on the couch! As Barbara points out thats got to build muscle which is heavier than the fat.

> I started the low carbing after reading this board in Feb. I had just come out of hospital having had a hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy and having lived for six months with the possibility that I had endometrial cancer - and I just decided I needed to find out what the hell was wrong with me . The docs had said PCOS but not really said what that was. Then I found this board. For which I give grateful thanx everyday. In fact, I leave my job today, which is where i get net access - so ive just been out and got myself new pc etc so I can get access to the net from home. Cant imagine not being able to log on and check out whats going on with everyone !!!

Maybe I'll go buy one of those really expensive ones that shows body fat and all that good stuff! On the muscle isssue, muscle does weigh more than fat, that may be my problem....I am VERY muscular as it is....don't want much more...how is it possible for one to lose some muscle? Much more and I will be able to assume the role of a WWF

I was religiously losing 1-2 lbs per day...now, lose 1, gain 1 the next day. Lose 1 , gain two. Too strange...I don't get it. The only thing I wonder is that about 2-3 weeks ago I stopped taking the bcp I was on...just to see if I could have a period on my own. Could that be affecting the

I tried upping the L-carn to 1500 a day, but that didn't work either. Hopefully, the RE will be able to help out & answer some ?'s for me on the 30th. Thanks again for your help! Also, are you taking Inositol as well?

I too had a standstill for about 2 weeks. But I have read somewhere that it is not counted as a plateau unless you have stalled for a month. So try not to worry. Some days our bodies retain more water than others.

One thing I have learned in the past few days....is that

(Ive been working out in the gym twice a week for two weeks now as well - so that may also be a contributory factor) But that means I can add more carbs if I want and still know I will maintain weight loss.
