Barbara, I think this is a great way to "low-carb". I've noticed with myself that whether there is weight loss or not, getting rid of the refined carbohydrates and junk (sugar, potatoes and other really high GI foods) or moderating them a lot, makes a huge huge difference in how i feel. Plus it also forces you to eat better carbohydrates like vegetables, and may mean you're less likely to fall off the wagon. For when I really want something crunchy and carbohydrate-like I have a puffed rice 'korean cookie'. They're almost entirely fiber with so few calories that the fiber negates most of the carbs, plus the fiber is so good for you. You can find them at oriental stores and they look like cynlindrical rice krispy treats (but real puffed rice and minus the marshmallow!)

I'm confused about one thing: Is Inositol a supplement or prescription? I hadnt heard of it before and I thought it must be prescription with a name like that.
