I can't answer specifically as each insurance co. is different, but my advice would be this: know what is covered, read the whole boring manual if you have to, that way you will be sure of where you stand in case it comes up. Also, in my insurance, appt's with specialists are covered as long as I get a referral so, check that aspect out with your policy. Something else to keep in mind, sometimes if an appt. or procedure is not covered there is an 'appeal' process where you can communicate what you want and why with the insurance co. and try to get what you need that way. As far as fertility issues not being covered, like you said getting pregnant is not the reason for the appt., so that should not be a problem, even though the Dr. is an RE. Good luck and go prepared!
