yes you can - the funny thing is i have had pcos for over 20 years and was initially diagnosed via lab test and a lap. now 2 yrs ago i had a dermoid cyst(unrelated to pcos) and had an ovary removed. prior to surgery my dr told me they would check my other ovary and if it looked normal they would leave it alone. well they did leave it alone. so i asked my dr about this and he told me the ovary could look normal but still have pcos changes inside. in fact when they did the pathology on the removed ovary it did show polycystic changes. veronica
