Oh. Thanks for the explanation Paula! He did not say anything like that, but I must assume that is how he was able to tell.... What would I do without this board?????? =o) -----Original Message----- From: anonymous@obgyn.net [mailto:anonymous@obgyn.net Sent: Tuesday, May 30, 2000 5:11 PM To: Multiple recipients of list PCOS Subject: How do they know when you ovulate on an ultrasound Clara Asked: The good news? He said that it looked as though I had recently ovulated (he claims that he saw signs that an egg had recently been released. How on earth can they tell this from looking at that screen? If the Ultrasound was done right after you ovulated there may have been something called "free fluid" that was visible on the sonogram. The fluid shows up darker than the area around it next to the ovary. (I had this happen to me too) Paula
