Sonnet, $300 a month does seem quite high to me. Have you tried looking for various companies on the internet? A lot of companies will not cover something that is pre-existing, some won't cover it until you have been with them for a while. So, definately do your homework. I guess I am lucky. My husband is military, (17+ years) and they cover everything.

Greetings to all!

Okay, after life in much-missed Australia with their much MORE missed health care system, my hubby and I moved to California 3 weeks ago. I am completely confused by health insurance in this country! My husband has a great job that pays for HIS health care, but to add me to it costs over $300.00 a MONTH! They've got to be kidding, right? I mean does anyone pay that much for health care? I could put that money in the bank and pay for it myself... Anyway, I asked around about other health care plans, but no one will take me because of my weight. Surely other people are in this situation - what do you do? And how do you get insurance to cover your PCOS treatment? If anyone is living in N. CA and has a good provider, I would love some leads. My met runs out in a month and I need to see a doctor! :)

Thanks as usual... hope you're all having a good week!
