Re: some, but not all symptomsFrom: Barbara (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 30 May 2000 13:26:37 -0500 (CDT)
With PCOS you do not have to have all the symptoms, in order to be diagnosed. I was slender, with good skin and no facial hair, until my mid twenties, I gained weight but not so much that anyone thought anything of it, and I had my daughter at 28. I had had other problems but did not "connect the dots" until later. It was after the birth of my daughter that my symptoms really took off. So, with each woman it is different. If you have some of the symptoms, mention PCOS to your doctor, ask to be tested for it. If nothing else, just to rule it out as a possible cause of your problems. Good luck, let us know how you do.
