Next in thread: Susan: "Re: cut them out !!!!!!!!!!!" i can speak from experience. i have had pcos for 20 years and throughout the years was treated with bcp's and provera to help regulate my periods. 2 years ago i was diagnosed with a dermoid cyst(nothing to do with the pcos) and had 1 of my ovaries removed. i then had symptoms of menopause(hot flashes) and was placed on estrogen replacement therapy. i was diagnosed with diabetes and high blood pressure shortly after. i recently discovered the connection of ir to pcos. i am now taking met and get fairly regular periods but they do not know if this is due to the met or the estrogen. the moral of the story:having your ovary removed does not necessarily solve the proble. veronica Next message: Molly: "hair loss" Previous message: Gretchen: "Re: cut them out !!!!!!!!!!!"
