In the beginning..From: Beth (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 27 May 2000 22:29:04 -0500 (CDT)
is there much you need to do. I am 27 yrs old. I am not married nor close to having kids. I had been having irregular periods every other month for about 2 years. I kept asking my dr. is this normal and are there any test to be done. She just suggested the pill or take progetine pills. I was not satisfied and knew there had to be an answer. So I got another opinion. Right away the new Dr had an answer and I was digonsed. He did a sonogram and blood tests. I have facial hair, had acne, gained lots of weight. (never knew why nothing fit me anymore), hair falls out-luckily I have lots of it and I am very moody. I was told to go on the birth control pill to regulate my periods and the endco. gave me pills used to control water around the heart but said these will eliminate the testosterone. My male hormones called antisone is high. So if I am not ready to have kids yet and everthing else is not bothersome. Is there something I should be doing now to prepare for having kids down the road? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...
