I do not think one has lasted 6 weeks for me but sometimes I have only 3 to 4 days in between a long heavy painful period. I do not totally understand it, but it also has to do with hormones and ovalation just like skipping a period. Bren PS I also wanted to add that some doctors are miss informend and feel you have to have missed a cycle to be PCOS that is not true. It is more common I think but not the rule.
