"ug" is probably microgram - it isn't really a "u", it's some greek letter that I can't remember. But that's a good question about the picolinate - I didn't even read my bottle, I just started taking one a day - sometimes I just don't think. (always read the bottle!!) I hope somebody has an anser to the dosage question, I'd like to know, too. Ivy
