I don't think it's that bad..really!! Takes a little while to get in the mind set. Although I've cut out ALL breads, pastas, potatoes, I still enjoy many foods! There are alot of low-carb veggies out there as well as beef, chicken, turkey...all other meats, eggs etc, etc. I usually have an an egg or two for bfast with sausage or bacon, lunch...usually a nice big Antipasto salad or chef salad or leftovers from the night before, dinner is meat, veggies, cheese...whatever I feel like. Some condiments are not that bad either...mayo, mustard, some bbq sauces. I try to keep my carbs between 25-30 a day. Next time you do your shopping...look around...the carb counts in foods will totally amaze you..some REAL high...some not so bad! Good Luck! :-) Alexis
