Brenda...

First of all, you're not alone! It's so great to have this board...for questions, advice, personal stories and most important: SUPPORT! I have been low-carbing for almost 2 months! I didn't think I could do it either...but I am! I also love love love my carbs! And to be completely honest with you....I'm not missing them that much!

Take it day by day. Start off slow if you think cutting them all out would be very difficult. Figure out what you're eating now for carbs and cut it by, let's say, 1/3 or 1/4. You don't have to follow a specific plan. I tried to follow Atkins but found (for my lifestyle) it just wouldn't work. I developed my own plan and think I'm doing pretty good. Also, look into some of the supplements mentioned on this board. Also, keep posting to everyone. There is so much info and support here that it has helped me tremendously!!

I've also found that finding a "low-carb" buddy is also very helpful! You can e-mail me anytime (and I'll respond) on your progress, ?'s, or simply for a "way to go girl!" I'll help in anyway I can!!

Take Care!! :-) Alexis
