Being a woman is definately not easy...I have PCOS and was diagnosed in Feb 99. I have facial hair, hair below my naval, no periods (over a year now), acne, the only thing I don't have is thinning hair and the cramping stuff. Have your doc run a test on your insulin and testostrone levels. They are finding that many PCOS women have too much insulin, mine is 3x what it should be...resulting in very high testostrone levels. If your insulin level is high, ask about being treated with Gloucophage. It is a drug that will lower your insulin levels, resulting in lower testostrone levels, resulting in weight loss, better acne, and most important for me, increasing fertility by 75-90%. Check it out. Don't loose hope, help is out there.
