Thanks for this post!! As I posted before, my doc also offered me Meridia or
Xenical at my last appt. I expressed my concern about being insulin resistant and
she said that I was most definitely not! (Although she absolutely refused to
perform a GTT) So, until my next appt (with a new RE) I have started my own
regimen ..and it's working fine! So much for that piece of paper on her wall. I
think it's awful when a "physician" will prescribe weight loss drugs to treat a
symptom...rather than help find a cure!!
